Pork Chops & Sliced Apples
Ingredients for the Pork Chop:
− 1 center cut, boneless Pork Chop
− 2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
− Pat of Butter
− ¼ tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
− Salt and Pepper to taste
Ingredients for the Apples:
− 1 large Granny Smith Apple
− 1 pinch of ground Cinnamon
− 1 pinch of ground Nutmeg
− ¼ cup of packed brown sugar
Step 1: Prepare the AquaChef
1) Fill the basin with approximately 3.5 liters of water
2) Plug in the AquaChef and press the power button
3) Set the AquaChef's temperature to 145℉
4) Press the START button to preheat the water
Step 2: Prepare the Pork Chop
Cut off the excess fat from the pork chop. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper on each side (or to taste). Place two sprigs of fresh thyme on top and add a pat of butter to the top. Place in a Seal ‘N Fresh bag and add the apple cider vinegar. Seal with the Seal ‘N Fresh Vacuum Sealer.
Step 3: Prepare the Apples
Using a peeler, remove the skin from the apple. Slice the apple in half and remove the core with a melon baller. Cut the apple into 1/2" to 3/4" slices. In a mixing bowl add the cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar and quickly mix with your hands. Make a flat layer of the apples in a new bag. Seal the bag first with your hands, and then vacuum out as much air as possible.
Step 4: Cooking with the AquaChef
Once the AquaChef is preheated, set the cook time on your AquaChef to 4 hour. Then place both bags in the cooking basket and place it carefully into the AquaChef and put the lid on.
Step 5: Serving the Pork Chop
Once the time is up, the AquaChef will beep. Carefully remove the basket from the AquaChef, as it will be hot. Remove the excess juice from the apples and place them on a plate with the pork chop on top and serve.
